HOSSEIN ZENDEROUDI: RECENT WORKS
LEIGHTON HOUSE MUSEUM, LONDON
7–18 SEPTEMBER 1993
London's first solo exhibition of one of Iran's foremost contemporary artists. Founder in 1961 of the "spiritual pop art" school of Saqqa-Khaneh where artists derived inspiration from the inner beliefs and popular symbols of their own culture, Zenderoudi has influenced many Iranian and Muslim fellow artists.
His recent work combines printing techniques with images derived from angels, buddhas and calligraphy.
A unique opportunity to discover Zenderoudi's paintings which have been collected by major museums in Europe, USA and Asia.
